Winter will return to northern Ohio this week, the National Weather Service says.
After a daytime high in the 40s today, rain is predicted tonight, followed by snow on Wednesday. Freezing rain is possible in between, the weather service said.
Forecasters differ on how much snow will fall Wednesday. The weather service said 6 to 8 inches of snow could fall in the region, while WTOL-TV predicted 3 to 6 inches.
A winter storm watch has been issued for several counties in northern Ohio. Hancock County is at the southern end of the watch area.
For Findlay specifically, the National Weather Service is predicting rain tonight before 3 a.m., then rain and snow, possibly mixed with freezing rain.
Less than an inch of snow is predicted overnight.
On Wednesday, snow may be mixed with freezing rain at Findlay, the weather service said.
Between a quarter-inch and a half-inch of precipitation is predicted for Findlay, with a Wednesday night low of about 6 degrees.
Warmer weather is expected to return Friday, with a high near 47.
