An early-morning fire heavily damaged a Marion Township home Wednesday.
The fire was reported at 8606 Marion Township 242 at about 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, said Washington Township Fire Chief Tom Moses.
It spread to the chimney, attic, bedroom and living room, Moses said.
“It pretty much destroyed (the living) room,” he said.
No one was injured in the fire, but it left an estimated $200,000 in damage. The cause is still being investigated, Moses said.
Homeowner Robert Ruehle is insured, he said.
Vanlue firefighters assisted. Firefighters contained the fire within about 25 minutes and cleared the scene at 5:48 a.m., Moses said.
