Fostorian hurt in U.S. 224 crash

A Fostoria woman was injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash at U.S. 224 and Hancock County 23 in Biglick Township, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Paige Durst, 24, was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital by private vehicle for a possible ankle injury, the sheriff’s office said.
Durst was traveling south on Hancock County 23 at 6:59 a.m. in a 2007 Pontiac when she failed to stop for a stop sign at the U.S. 224 intersection, the sheriff’s office said. Her vehicle went into the intersection and was hit by an eastbound 2002 Ford sport utility vehicle driven by Benjamin Streacker, 26, of Findlay, the sheriff’s office said.
Both drivers were checked at the scene by Hanco Ambulance, the sheriff’s office said.
Durst was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign, the sheriff’s office said.
The vehicles were towed by Miller Rigging and Mac & Bob’s Towing. Assisting at the scene were the Washington Township Fire Department and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
