Car crashes into pond

Authorities pull a car out of a pond in Allen Township Wednesday morning. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office dive team was alerted at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday about a sunken Dodge Neon near the intersection of Hancock County 220 and Allen Township 108, said Deputy Tamara House. Nearby residents said they heard a crash between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. They called the sheriff’s office later in the morning, House said. The four-door vehicle was removed from the pond in less than an hour, House said. The car was reported stolen to Findlay police on Wednesday.
