The Hancock County fair board is planning a celebration this year to mark the 75th anniversary at the East Sandusky Street fairgrounds.
Commissioner Phillip Riegle will represent his office on the celebration’s planning committee. Riegle gave a brief description of the plans, which could include a parade, at Thursday’s commissioners meeting.
The commissioners may also extend a challenge to city officials, like a calf scramble or other competition.
Plans are still in the beginning stages.
Separately, the commissioners agreed to pay the village of Arlington $29,000 for cleaning Buck Run, which is half of the total bill. The creek bed has already been cleared of debris as part of an effort to control flooding in the village.
