Findlay firefighters doused a duplex fire Friday night at 105 S. Cory St., in the downtown near the library.
The blaze was reported at 9:20 p.m. No injuries were reported.
Witnesses said there are two units in the duplex, and the fire apparently started in the upstairs unit.
The occupants of the downstairs unit escaped safely, witnesses said, and the resident of the upstairs unit was not home when the fire started.
Fourteen firefighters responded at first, and reinforcements were brought in. It took firefighters about 20 minutes to contain the blaze.
Significant damage was visible in the upstairs of the building.
Additional details were not available late Friday.
