3 Carey residents arrested in drug sweep

MARION — Three Carey residents were among 39 people arrested Thursday after a large drug investigation in Marion.
Ray Ferguson, 38, and Kelly Morgan, 44, were both charged with felonies in Marion County Common Pleas Court, according to Attorney General Mike DeWine’s office.
Ferguson was charged with four counts of cocaine possession and a single count of cocaine trafficking. Morgan was charged with two counts of heroin possession and one count of conspiracy to possess heroin.
Timothy White, 45, was charged through Marion Municipal Court. He faces five misdemeanor counts of conspiracy to cocaine possession and one count each of conspiracy to possess drugs and attempted drug possession.
Most of the others arrested Thursday were Marion residents.
The drug investigation, dubbed “Operation Buyers’ Remorse,” focused on mid-level traffickers and addicts who fuel demand, DeWine said.
“While we know we cannot arrest our way out of the drug abuse problem, those who break the law must face the consequences,” DeWine said.
