Friday’s Courier included a 24-page special section to help couples who are planning a wedding.
You’ll find stories about an Ottawa mother-daughter team who reshaped their careers by attending culinary school and opening a cake business; tips for mothers who are choosing a dress for their child’s wedding; how to personalize the reception; a tongue-in-cheek guide to how grooms can “help” plan the wedding, and much more.
On Sunday, The Courier will host its 30th annual Wedding Showcase bridal show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Huntington Bank Arena at the Cube, 3430 N. Main St.
Nearly 90 vendors will showcase the latest trends in reception food and entertainment, wedding videos and photography, bridal beauty and more. Demonstrations will be given by Whitson Hospitality, Picture Your Events, It Works Global, Carnessca Butler and A Cut Above.
Engaged couples can compete for a couples’ prize package, and anyone who wears an old bridesmaid’s dress will get free admission and be entered for a chance to win a prize package.
Tickets will be available at the door for $8.
