Findlay’s West Sandusky Street-Western Avenue intersection will be closed from Monday through 5 p.m. Friday while three nearby railroad crossings are upgraded to smooth the ride for motorists, the city Engineering Department reported.
To be upgraded are two Norfolk Southern crossings on Sandusky Street, just west of Western Avenue, and one crossing on Western Avenue, just north of Sandusky Street, said Nathan Hoy, project manager for the Engineering Department.
Hoy said the intersection is one of the most-complained-about in the city.
The work is expected to block The Courier’s front driveway. Customers of The Courier and Allegra printing should use the company’s driveway off West Hardin Street to reach the parking lot.
