Weekend: Tea with Mrs. Tittlemouse

The Hancock Park District will be hosting its 14th annual Peter Rabbit Tea featuring “Mrs. Tittlemouse,” as read by Beatrix Potter. The tea will be offered on Monday, June 2 at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tea times are also available on Tuesday, June 3 at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
The tea will be held at Litzenberg Memorial Woods, at the gatehouse. After the story is read in the Activity Barn, “tea” will be served in the historic 1847 McKinnis House. Following tea, participants will meet “Mrs. Tittlemouse,” where they will participate in a garden scavenger hunt.
This program has been designed for children 4-6 years old, with an adult companion. One adult is required for every two children, with no siblings of other ages permitted.
Those wishing to attend need to register by May 29. The cost is $4 per person. Space is limited during each tea time. Reservations are not taken and confirmed until fees have been received. Payment is preferred by check, payable to the Hancock Park District, or exact cash through the HPD office located at 1424 E. Main Cross St., Findlay.
Litzenberg Memorial Woods is located at 6100 U.S. 224, 6 miles west of Findlay. The site is handicap accessible with restrooms available inside the Activity Barn.
