Findlay-Hancock County Library plans summer reading program

The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library is inviting the community to join its 2014 SummerRead program, which kicks off next month.

The SummerRead activities will revolve around the theme “Fizz, Boom, Read: Enjoy Science at Your Library.”

Programs and prizes for children, teens and adults will be offered through the summer, according to the library. SummerRead begins June 2 and will run through July 26.

A kickoff event featuring a comedy show will be presented by Joel Tacey on June 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Tacey will perform under the skylight in the Adult Services Department.

The Ohio SummerRead Program is a statewide effort by local library systems to promote reading to people of all ages.
