University of Findlay names dean of College of Sciences



The University of Findlay has named Jeffrey Frye as the new dean of the College of Sciences.

Frye has served as the interim dean of the college since 2012.

Frye has held several posts at the university since he arrived in 1991 as an assistant professor of chemistry. Frye continues to teach chemistry and has served as an area director of chemistry, physics, geology and natural science, and as chair of the department of physical sciences, according to the university.

He also helped develop the curriculum for the university’s bachelor’s degree in chemistry.

Frye has a doctorate in chemistry from Miami University and a bachelor of science in biochemistry from Juniata College, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.
