Watershed partnership to hold golf scramble

The Blanchard River Watershed Partnership is accepting registrations for the first annual “Crossing the Little Riley Creek” golf scramble.

The event will be held Saturday at the Bluffton Golf Club, 8575 Dixie Highway.

The cost is $60 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, continental breakfast, lunch, gift bag, contest on several holes, 50/50 drawing and many door prizes.

Registration is from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The golf scramble runs from 9 a.m. to noon.

There will be several prizes, including a hole-in-one contest for a one-year lease on a Ford car.

The watershed partnership represents six counties of the Blanchard River watershed and is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving water quality through developing citizen involvement and watershed action plans.
