Weekend: Shop local on the third Thursday

Downtown Findlay presents Third Thursdays on June 19. Downtown Findlay businesses will have promotions and specials and extended shopping hours to draw the community to downtown on the third Thursday of each month. Specials and promotions will vary from month to month.
Store hours of participating businesses will be extended past normal business hours from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Participating in Third Thursdays on June 19 are:
• Awakening Minds Art: Public Paint & Partake: Wine Night (RSVP required).
• Bryant’s Shoe Store: 20 percent off storewide.
• Buggy Whip Bakery: Free strawberry lemonade cake shooters. While supplies last.
• Charming Finds Boutique: 10 percent off select quarts of Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan.
• Coffee Amici: 50 cents off any drink.
• DorAnne’s Gifts & Gourmet: 20 percent off jewelry and free drink and food samples.
• Downtown Iggy’s Pad: $1 off a $6 purchase.

In addition, each month artists will take part in the Store Front Project: Beautifying Vacant Buildings Through the Arts. June’s highlighted vacant buildings with space for rent include: 312 and 314 N. Main St. and 216 S. Main St. Artists include: Spencer Cunningham — Photographs, Valerie Escobedo — Paintings, Eliseo Escobedo — Ceramics, Ed Corle — Ceramics, and Marie Louden-Hanes — Paintings.
