The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a series of break-ins and vandalism in village parks.
Concession stands were broken into in the past month in Arlington and Mount Blanchard. Arcadia’s park was also vandalized, said Detective Sgt. Jason Seem.
Thieves damaged the stands to gain entrance and steal cash and food, Seem said. The Mount Blanchard stand was broken into twice, he said.
Such cases of breaking and entering are fairly common, but repeated break-ins at the same concession stands are unusual, he said.
Investigators have collected evidence and are working to determine if the cases are related, he said.
