Five people hurt in I-75 accident

Five people suffered minor injuries Saturday morning when a van overturned on Interstate 75 at Findlay, the Findlay post of the State Highway Patrol reported.
The van’s driver, Helfa Yu, 69, of Windsor, Ontario, and four passengers were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries, the patrol said.
Passengers in the van included: Myrna Becher, 61, Sterling Heights, Michigan; Mercedes Salvador, 76, Windsor, Ontario; Teresita Alfaro, 68 Montreal, Quebec; Georgina Ignacio, 75, Windsor, Ontario, and Helma Yu 59, the patrol said. Information on which passengers were injured was not available Sunday night.
The crash occurred about 10:12 a.m.
The driver lost control of a Dodge Caravan near the U.S. 68-Ohio 15 interchange, the patrol said. The van ran off the side of the road and rolled over, but was upright when it came to a stop.
The Findlay Fire Department assisted at the accident scene.
