Michigan man faces drug charge

A Michigan man was arrested early Wednesday after State Highway Patrol troopers found oxycodone and marijuana in his car during a traffic stop on southbound Interstate 75 in Findlay.
According to the patrol, troopers stopped a rented Toyota Camry between the Ohio 12 and U.S. 224 exits at 1:37 a.m. Wednesday for a speed violation.
A search by troopers revealed 479 oxycodone pills and nearly 8 grams of marijuana under the spare tire in the car’s trunk. The contraband has a street value of about $12,000, according to the patrol.
The driver, Kareem Ameen-Haynes Walker, 25, of Clinton Township, Michigan, was charged with possession of drugs, a second-degree felony. He is being held in the Hancock County jail.
