Eleven impaired drivers were arrested during two weekend checkpoints in Findlay, law enforcement authorities reported.
More than 800 vehicles were checked during the checkpoints, according to the Findlay post of the State Highway Patrol.
Five motorists were cited for driving while under the influence during a Friday night checkpoint on North Main Street near the University of Findlay campus. Troopers checked 668 vehicles.
During a second checkpoint held early Saturday morning on Tiffin Avenue near the AAA office, an additional two drivers were arrested for impaired driving and one other for multiple warrants. Law enforcement checked about 132 vehicles during that checkpoint.
Four others were arrested for impaired driving in the area around the checkpoints.
The State Highway Patrol was assistant by officers with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office and Findlay Police Department.
