Join the Hancock Park District, Pheasants Forever, Whitetails Unlimited and Quail Forever for a morning filled with outdoor adventures, especially for youth 6 to 17 years old.
“No Child Left Indoors” will take place on Saturday, Aug. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
This event is part of a national movement to reach a generation of young people who are fixated on electronics. The focus is to reverse the trend of inactivity and obesity in today’s youth and actively engage them in outdoor recreation, and to expand their knowledge of nature and conservation. In addition, this free event seeks to foster tomorrow’s leaders and conservation-minded citizens. Join them for fishing, archery, canoeing and kayaking, BB gun shooting, tree stand safety and more.
Children are required to be accompanied by an adult. To register, contact Mark Plesec at 419-722-6771.
The event will be held at Oakwoods Nature Preserve, “Doc” Phillips Discovery Center, which is located west of Findlay off West Sandusky Street and Hancock County 144.
