Findlay library schedules SummerRead program

The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library will have a SummerRead program for participants of all ages from June 1 to July 29.

The theme for this summer is “Build a Better World.”

A ribbon-cutting ceremony with Findlay’s Chamber of Commerce will be held at 10 a.m. June 1. Face painting will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

SummerRead registration will open for all ages and will include a free book for children registering.

The Literacy Coalition of Hancock County will have literacy activities throughout the day and will be promoting the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in the lower level of the library.

On June 2, there will be a baby balloon party from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m. for children under 3 years old.

An Exotic Zoo program will be held on Monday, June 5, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

An Imagination Station Family Fun program will be held Wednesday, July 26, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Story times, movie nights and other activities will continue through the summer.
