Antique machinery show begins Thursday

Music and antique farm machinery will be combined when the Northwest Ohio Antique Machinery Association holds its annual show from Thursday to Sunday at the Hancock County Fairgrounds.

Musical entertainment will include a concert by country singer Sean Michael Williams at 9 p.m. Friday in the south grandstand. The concert is free with a paid admission to the machinery show.

On Saturday, a free Bridge County Bluegrass concert will be held at 8 p.m. in the show arena.
Daily admission to the Northwest Ohio Antique Machinery Association show costs $5 per person, but those 15 and under are admitted free with an adult.

Club memberships, costing $10 per person, are available. Camping on the fairgrounds is permitted, for a fee.

Each year’s show usually features a particular brand of farm machinery, but this year’s event will focus on “oddballs and orphans.”

Daily events at the show will include scooter and antique garden tractor exhibits; flea markets; arts and crafts; a trading post; and demonstrations of a Baker fan, a saw mill, a shingle mill, and old-time wheat threshing.
