A 17-year-old was sentenced to five years in prison this week in Hancock County Common Pleas Court for shooting another juvenile in 2016.
Korben Everhardt, of Findlay, was charged with a second-degree felony count of felonious assault in June. He pleaded no contest to the charges against him on Wednesday and the case went immediately to sentencing.
Prosecutor Phil Riegle said three years of the sentence was mandatory since Everhardt used a gun during the assault. Two years were added to the sentence for the felonious assault.
The case was transferred from Hancock County Juvenile Court to common pleas court on June 5.
