NORTH BALTIMORE — Tami Thomas was selected as president of North Baltimore school board for 2018 during its first meeting of the year Wednesday.

Jaimye Bushey will be vice president.

The oath of office was administered to a board newcomer and two incumbents in the wake of their victories last November.

Board members Tim Archer and Jeremy Sharninghouse were each seated for four-year terms, along with rookie Marcy Byrd.

Separately, the board agreed to continue to hold its regular meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month starting at 6 p.m. at North Baltimore High School/Middle School.

The two exceptions will be meetings slated for March 20 and Dec. 18, due to spring break and Christmas break.

Separately, the school district reported no problems with frozen pipes in the buildings during a recent bout of frigid temperatures.

“Lots and lots of school districts had frozen pipes,” Superintendent Ryan Delaney told the board.
