Kenton woman injured in two-vehicle crash

A Kenton woman was injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 224, just west of Findlay, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said Matthew Bame, 17, of Findlay, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado west on U.S. 224 at the Hancock County 223 intersection at 3:22 p.m. when he struck the rear of a 2014 Hyundai driven by Jennifer Mock, 60, of Kenton, who was stopped in traffic.

Mock was taken by Hanco Ambulance to Blanchard Valley Hospital, the sheriff’s office said. Bame was cited for failure to stop in an assured clear distance, the sheriff’s office reported.

Assisting at the accident scene were the Liberty Township Fire Department and Dick’s Towing.
