NEW RIEGEL — Three Carey men were injured, one critically, in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday night on Big Spring Township 93 near Seneca County 52, south of New Riegel, the Fremont post of the State Highway Patrol reported.
At approximately 9:28 p.m. Wednesday, a 1995 Chevrolet S10 driven by Zachery Brodman, 21, of Carey, was traveling south on Big Spring Township 93 when the truck went off the left side of the road, the patrol said. It overturned multiple times before coming to rest in a ditch.
Brodman was ejected from the truck and suffered life-threatening injuries, the patrol said. He was transported by Seneca County EMS to Mercy Tiffin Hospital, and then was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
Two passengers — Kevin Lonsway, 21, and Anthony Blair, 22, both of Carey — suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the patrol said. They were transported by Seneca County EMS to Mercy Tiffin Hospital, the patrol said.
The Chevrolet S10 sustained severe damage and was towed by D&D Towing. Assisting at the scene was the NBS Joint Fire District.
All three occupants of the truck were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, the patrol said. The crash remains under investigation, according to the patrol.
