A forum featuring the two Republican candidates for an Ohio House seat will be held at 6 p.m. today at the University of Findlay.
Jon Cross and Cheryl Buckland will take questions during the forum at the Center for Student Life and College of Business.
The forum will be aired live on UFTV, and on WFIN radio at 1330 AM and 95.5 FM. It will also be livestreamed on WFIN.com.
Moderating the event will be WFIN News Director Doug Jenkins and Courier Editorial Page Editor Steve Dillon.
Cross and Buckland are competing in the May 8 primary for the GOP nomination for the 83rd District seat in the Ohio House. The incumbent, Rep. Robert Sprague, R-Findlay, is running for state treasurer.
The winner of the GOP primary will compete with Democratic write-in candidate Mary Harshfield in the November general election.
No independent candidates have filed to run, but independent candidates have until May 7 to file candidacy petitions.
The forum is being sponsored by the Findlay branch of the American Association of University Women, The Courier, UFTV and WFIN.
