NORTH BALTIMORE — The Village of North Baltimore was given an opportunity to participate in Wood County’s 24/7 recycling program but rejected the plan, according to village officials.
Village and county officials had met to discuss the program.
Village officials had worried about a mess of trash that could be left at a 24-hour recycling bin.
During a recent committee-of-the-whole meeting, some council members opposed participation in the Recycle Wood County 24-Hour Recycling Program, which is scheduled to go into effect Monday.
The village hopes to reach an agreement with the company to continue to provide Saturday morning recycling in the village. Otherwise, North Baltimore citizens will be forced to take their recycling to Bowling Green or Findlay.
