Local woman charged in ear-biting incident

A Findlay woman has been charged with biting part of another woman’s ear off, according to Hancock County grand jury indictments issued Tuesday.

Danielle J. Basinger, 23, was charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony, after an alleged incident June 3. Basinger was charged with biting part of a woman’s ear off in the 500 block of South Main Street in Findlay, said Hancock County Prosecutor Phil Riegle.

Separately, Michael L. Beall, 43, of Findlay, was charged with intimidation of a victim in a criminal case, a third-degree felony; domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony; and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. The alleged incidents occurred Feb. 14.

Beall has another domestic violence case pending in Hancock County Common Pleas Court from November 2017.

Separately, James A. Graham, 45, of McComb, was charged with gross sexual imposition, a third-degree felony, after being accused of sexual contact with a 7-year-old child. The contact allegedly occurred between April 1, 2017, and Sept. 30, 2017.

Two people were indicted on charges relating to theft:

  • Isaac L. Joles, 43, address unknown, was charged with receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. The alleged offense occurred June 23.
  • Patricia D. Courtney, 56, of Findlay, was charged with grand theft, a fourth-degree felony, after an alleged incident between Sept. 19, 2016, and Dec. 30, 2017.

Dalton J. Johnson, 23, of Fostoria, was charged with vandalism, a fifth-degree felony, after allegedly vandalizing property owned by TH Plastics, 101 Bentley Court, Findlay.

Several people were indicted on drug-related charges:

  • Mitchell C. Nagy, 19, of McComb, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, after an alleged incident on Dec. 9, 2017.
  • Justin R. Carnicom, 36, of North Baltimore, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The alleged incident occurred March 3.
  • Ty H. Ball, 25, of Fostoria, was charged with possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, after an alleged incident on Jan. 28.
  • Sara L. Businger, 37, of Findlay, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, specifically a synthetic marijuana substance, a fifth-degree felony, after an alleged incident on Feb. 1.
  • Sharonda M. Green, 31, of Vandalia, Ohio, was charged with possession of marijuana in excess of 1,000 grams, a third-degree felony, and possession of hashish in excess of 10 grams, also a third-degree felony. The alleged incidents occurred March 1.
  • James L. Courtney, 48, of Arlington, was charged with possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, after an alleged incident on Sept. 21, 2017.
  • Steven J. Devries, 28, of Findlay, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, specifically a synthetic marijuana substance, a fifth-degree felony, after an alleged incident on Sept. 11, 2017.

Separately, four people were charged after failing to appear in court after being released on bond.

  • Douglas A. Norton II, 39, of Findlay, was charged with failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony, after a May 31 incident.
  • Tamara L. Arce, 35, of Findlay, was charged with failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony, after a May 30 incident.
  • Michael W. Allen, 32, of Mount Blanchard, was charged with failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony, after a June 7 incident.
  • Trae Cusac, 27, of Findlay, was charged with failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony, after an incident on May 14.

Separately, several secret indictments were recently released. They include:

  • Christian J. Sanchez, 19, of Findlay, was charged June 5 with two counts of trafficking in cocaine, both fifth-degree felonies. The alleged incidents occurred Nov. 30, 2017, and Dec. 4, 2017.
  • Markus A. Gossard, 31, of Findlay, was charged April 3 with two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, each for trafficking in methamphetamine, a fourth-degree felony. The alleged incidents occurred Aug. 20, 2017, and Sept. 7, 2017.
  • Brooke D. Simmons, 29, of Findlay, was charged June 5 with aggravated trafficking in drugs, specifically fentanyl, a fourth-degree felony, for an incident that allegedly occurred Nov. 16, 2017. She was also charged with trafficking in heroin, a fifth-degree felony, after an alleged incident on Nov. 21, 2017.
  • Christine E. Drake, 36, of Findlay, was charged June 5 with two counts of trafficking in cocaine, each a fourth-degree felony.

The incidents allegedly occurred Oct. 25, 2017, and Oct. 26, 2017, respectively. Both incidents allegedly occurred within 1,000 feet of Lincoln Elementary School, 200 W. Lincoln St., Findlay.
