Boys Basketball: Heritage Christian moves above .500

ST. MARYS — Dillon Berry dropped in 22 points and Lewis Larsen added 11 points and 17 rebounds as Heritage Christian edged Grand Lake Christian 56-52 Thursday night.
Heritage (5-4) jumped out to a 14-5 lead after the first quarter and extended it to 30-19 at halftime.
Grand Lake responded with a furious comeback, outscoring Heritage 23-13 in the final frame but came up short.
Heritage dominated the battle on the boards 41-28.
Andrew VanDenBerghe tallied four assists and three steals for Heritage.
Grand Lake (4-12) was led by Nick Burckholter’s 21 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, while Christopher Humbert added 14 points.
