University of Findlay men’s basketball player Greg Kahlig was selected as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference South Division player of the week for the third time in the past four weeks after leading the Oilers to a pair of road victories last week against Ashland University and Lake Erie College.
The senior forward averaged 28.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals per contest, while shooting 65.2 percent (15 of 23) from the field, 58.3 percent (7 of 12) from 3-point range and 83.3 percent (20 of 24) from the foul line in the wins.
Kahlig’s career-high 40 points in Findlay’s 79-69 victory against Lake Erie were the most by an Oilers player since 2000.
He is averaging 22.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game for Findlay this season and ranks ninth all-time at UF with 1,666 career points.
