Locally: UF lacrosse picked fourth in GLIAC

The University of Findlay women’s lacrosse team was picked to finish fourth in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference this season as the league released its preseason poll Monday.
The Oilers received 47 votes in the poll, which included one first place vote. Grand Valley State University was picked as the favorite with eight first place votes.
Findlay finished with a 6-12 record last season, which included a 4-4 mark in the GLIAC. The team will once again be young as 16 of the 17 players on the roster will be freshmen or sophomores.
The Oilers will begin their season on March 1 at St. Anselm.
