Boys basketball: Minutemen finish with a victory

HEATH — Heritage Christian dominated the first half and cruised the rest of the way in beating Bucyrus Wayside Christian 49-34 in the consolation finals of the Buckeye Christian Schools Association boys basketball tournament.
Dillon Berry scored 20 points and Winfield Oestreich added 10 for Heritage Christian. The Minutemen jumped to a 13-6 first-quarter lead and padded the margin to 29-15 at the half.
Lewis Larsen scored eight points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Andrew VanDenBerghe had seven points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals as Heritage Christian completed a 10-7 season.
