All-Ohio girls basketball: Clyde’s Cahill Division II player of year for third time

COLUMBUS — Clyde’s Amanda Cahill, who achieved a milestone double-double with more than 2,000 career points and 1,000 rebounds, was named player of the year for the third straight season when the Associated Press released its Division I and Division II all-Ohio girls basketball selections for the 2013-14 season.
Cahill, an Indiana signee who averaged 20.2 points, 10.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists, shared player of the year honors in Division II with Laina Snyder of Millersburg West Holmes.
Lamar Smith of Toledo Rogers, Cincinnati Wyoming’s Gerry Lackey, and Brittany Anderson of Chagrin Falls were the D-II coaches of the year.
Cincinnati Princeton swept top honors in Division I with Kelsey Mitchell named player of the year and Jill Phillips tabbed coach of the year.
Phillips shared coach of the year honors with Abbey Allerding of North Canton Hoover and Berea-Midpark’s Kevin Braaten.
