College basketball: UF’s Kahlig named all-region

University of Findlay senior Greg Kahlig was named first team all-Midwest Region by Daktronics on Thursday.
Kahlig was named the 2014 GLIAC Player of the Year and also captured GLIAC Tournament MVP honors after leading the Oilers to their third consecutive tournament title. He is also leading the Midwest Region in scoring at 24.6 points per game.
The Fort Recovery native has scored 40 points or more three times this season, with a season-high of 55 points coming in the Oilers 104-74 win against Walsh in the semifinals of the GLIAC Tournament.
Kahlig is ranked fourth all-time at Findlay with 1,855 career points.
