College golf: UF’s Petty, Hunt sweep GLIAC awards

The University of Findlay swept the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference golfer of the week awards, as sophomore Kasey Petty earned the women’s honor and senior Marcus Hunt did the same for the men.
Petty captured her first collegiate victory on March 23 at the Perry Park Spring Invitational after firing a three-round score of 225. She tied the school record for the lowest 54-hole score with a 225 and her even-par 72 in the final round was the fifth-lowest score in school history for a single round.
Hunt finished first at the Saginaw Valley State University Invitational after carding rounds of 73 and 72 for a 1-over par 145 at the Boone Links Golf Course in Florence, Ky.
