College lacrosse: UF nips Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Freshman Kyra Bradley’s seven goals led the University of Findlay women’s lacrosse team to its second straight victory Thursday with an 18-17 win against the University of Bridgeport.
Sophomore Sarah Lankton added four goals, six ground balls, six draw controls and two caused turnovers, while freshman Nicole Stines contributed three goals and four draw controls for the Oilers (2-5).
Mackenzie Barnwell chipped in three goals on seven shots and Katie Poorman picked up her second win between the pipes by making seven saves.
UF held a 39-32 advantage in shots on goal, a 22-13 margin in ground balls and forced Bridgeport into 27 turnovers.
