UF lacrosse: Oilers rout Tiffin

The University of Findlay lacrosse team scored nine times in the first 16 minutes of the match, led 14-1 at the half and was in control all the way in an 18-11 win over Tiffin University in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener for both teams at Donnell Stadium Wednesday afternoon.
Sarah Lankston, UF’s leader in goals (35) and assists (10) this season, added to her numbers with six and one, respectively. Nicole Stines also scored six goals, Mackenzie Barnwell had three and Kyra Bradley had two, upping her season total to 28.
The win was the UF’s third in the last four games and improves the Oilers overall record to 3-6. Tiffin is 2-8, 0-1 in the GLIAC.
Katie Poorman made five saves in goal for the Oilers, who will host Grand Valley State at 7 p.m. on Friday at Donnell Stadium.
