NORTH CANTON — The University of Findlay’s baseball team struggled offensively, scoring a combined two runs on 12 hits, in a pair of losses, 6-2 and 4-0, to Walsh in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday.
Walsh (15-15, 7-5 GLIAC) broke open a 0-0 tie in the first game with four runs in the bottom half of the fourth inning, and the Cavaliers added two more in the fifth.
The only runs of the day for Findlay (8-15, 5-8 GLIAC) came in the seventh inning of the first game. Austin Adams flied out to leftfield, scoring Chase Goulette.
Later in the inning, Jordan Garcia scored when Derek Draper reached base on an error by Walsh third-baseman Brook Clark.
The Oilers stranded eight runners in the second game and committed two errors. Walsh scored a run in the first and second inning, and added two more in the fourth on a 2-run double from Justin Clements.
