Grand Valley State scored nine of the game’s first 10 goals and rolled to a 19-8 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win over the University of Findlay in a women’s lacrosse match at Donnell Stadium on Friday.
Zoe Stiemann scored five goals and Brooke Ingraham converted all four shots she attempted as Grand Valley, 5-5 overall, improved to 2-0 in GLIAC play. UF, which had won three of its last four matches heading into Friday’s game, fell to 3-8, 1-1 in the league.
Two freshmen led UF, Kyra Bradley with five goals and Nicole Stines with two. Sophomore goalie Katie Poorman made seven saves for the Oilers, who will host Ursuline at 4 p.m. Sunday at Donnell Stadium.
