Prep Tennis: Findlay blanks Ottawa Hills

Findlay High School’s boys tennis team won three three-set matches, including two by tiebreaker, on its way to blanking Ottawa Hills 5-0 in a nonconference home match on Saturday.
The big wins came at No. 2 and No. 3 singles. Findlay’s Max macDonald outlasted Ryan Simon 6-23, 4-6, 7-6 (7-2) at No. 2 singles while Jake Elbin topped Jason Judis, 3-6, 7-5, 7-5 (7-4) in third singles play.
Reid Teatsorth made it a clean sweep by whipping Matt Gargas 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
Ian Laird and Brent Gorman took care of Justin Judis and Jack Hylant 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles. Logan Sullivan and Hyunchul Lee beat Kevin Hoefflinger and Spencer Smith 6-4, 6-3 at second doubles as Findlay improved to 4-2.
The Trojans are back in action on Tuesday with back-to-back road matches at Toledo Whitmer and Perrysburg.
