CAREY — Down 2-0, Carey struck for four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to hand Arlington its first loss of the season 4-2 in a nonconference softball game on Thursday.
Ali Rymer got the win by allowing two runs on seven hits with a walk and five strikeouts for the Blue Devils (4-4). She helped her own cause with an RBI double. Hannah Draper doubled and singled driving in a run and freshman Dani Bardinelli-Clark had an RBI triple for Carey.
Britnee Johnson had three singles with an RBI and Megan and Hannah Johnson both added a pair of singles to lead Arlington (7-1).

NEW RIEGEL — Lexi Buck surrendered four hits and no earned runs in seven innings to earn the win in the circle as Springfield handed New Riegel its first loss of the season in a 6-1 nonleague contest on Thursday.
Kierra Hague singled twice and drove in two runs, Hanna Girlie added a pair of singles and an RBI and Kiley Aller contributed three singles for the Blue Devils (9-1).
Taylor Kirian (10-1) gave up five earned runs on 10 hits as the Blue Jackets dropped to 10-1 on the season.
Lauren Zoeller had a pair of singles to lead New Riegel.

Sara Gier worked seven innings, allowing five runs on eight hits to pick up the victory in the circle. She also added three singles to help the Rams improve to 6-3 overall and 3-0 in NCC play.
Hannah Morris singled, doubled and recorded two RBIs, Bre Parish added a double and a triple and Taylor Farmer contributed a pair of singles for the Falcons (2-7, 0-3).

Mackayla Wilson smoked a home run, double and single driving in five RBIs and Taylor Monday had a pair of doubles to lead Bluffton’s 15-hit attack. Sami Fruchey allowed one run on six hits in six innings to get the win for the Pirates (6-0 overall, 2-0 NWC).

Kelcie Bean ripped two singles and a double and picked up the win for North Baltimore (4-4). Cheyenne Hernandez doubled and singled, and Haleigh Fleck hit a double and drove in two runs.
