Prep softball: Trojans top Fremont Ross, 6-1

FINDLAY — Findlay scored four runs in the fifth and sixth innings to break open a 2-1 game and defeat Fremont Ross 6-1 in Three Rivers Athletic Conference competition on Monday.
Mackenzie Atchison doubled and drove in two runs to lead the Trojans, who improved to 3-8 overall and 2-2 in the TRAC.
Chloe Swaisgood recorded a pair of singles for Fremont Ross (2-8, 1-4).

Madison Arnold homered and drove in three runs, Rebecca Harvey added a home run and a single, Lindsay George recorded a single, a double and an RBI and Kristi Reiser notched an RBI double for Elmwood (9-1, 2-0 NBC).
Katie Jensen’s pair of singles paced Genoa (3-6, 0-3).

Jordyn Wright and Aricka Hill each singled to record the only hits for the Falcons (5-7), who plated their run in the fourth inning.
The Wildcats (1-7) churned out six hits, led by Kaylee Burd’s two singles and CJ Clum’s double.

Hope Schroeder got the win in the circle and hit a pair of singles and a double to lead the Bulldogs (5-2 overall, 3-1 NWC). Katie Roose and Micah Stechschulte also had a pair of hits.
Mackayla Wilson doubled and singled and Maddie Willis had two singles for Bluffton (6-1, 2-1).

Swanton fell to 2-10, 1-4 NWOAL.

Samantha Shirling took the win, pitching all six innings for the Eagles (10-0 overall, 2-0 NBC), while Erica Moore was the losing pitcher. The Lady Red committed five errors behind her.
Shelby Lamb doubled and singled for Fostoria (1-8, 0-2), which totaled six hits to Eastwood’s seven.
The Lady Red also committed five errors.
