Findlay High Roundup: Rodman, Curlis drive in 3 runs as FHS rips Shawnee

Findlay High School sent 11 men to the plate in a seven-run first inning as the Trojans whipped Lima Shawnee 14-4 at Flag City Memorial Field Thursday.
Jackson Geyer (3-1) got the win for Findlay as he allowed four runs on seven hits with two walks and three strikeouts in five innings. Dakota Feay pitched a scoreless sixth for Findlay (8-6).
Nolan Rodman doubled and singled driving in three runs and Connor Curlis had a double and three RBIs. Geyer helped his own cause with two singles and two RBIs while Grant Akin chipped in an RBI single.
Trevor Anderson doubled and had two singles for the Indians (7-9).

O-G tops softball
Ottawa-Glandorf scored seven runs in the first four innings and capped the game off with six in the seventh to cruise past Findlay 14-4 in a nonleague game on Thursday.
Kristen Miller went 4 for 4 with three doubles and a single and scored three runs for the Titans, who moved to 9-2 on the season.
Mariah Nill doubled and drove in a run for Findlay (3-8).

Teatsorth wins
TOLEDO — Findlay High School’s Reid Teatsorth posted a convincing 6-0, 6-2 victory against Toledo St. John’s sophomore Rajeev Laungani at No. 1 singles on Thursday, but the Trojans dropped a 4-1 decision to the Titans in Three Rivers Athletic Conference action.
Adam Zychowicz bested Findlay’s Max MacDonald 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Kevin Brown dropped Jake Elbin 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
Brent Gorman and Logan Sullivan fell 6-0, 6-0 to seniors Jonah Carter and Ryan Brown at No. 1 doubles, while Hyunchul Lee and Tanner Graves fared only slightly better in losing 6-0, 6-1 to Trevor Majdalani and Ryan Issa at No. 2 doubles.
St. John’s improved to 10-1 overall and 4-0 in the TRAC, while Findlay slipped to 9-3 and 3-2.
The Trojans hit the courts again today when they begin competition at the Lexington Invitational.
