Findlay High School’s boys and girls track teams will go their separate ways Friday night to highlight a big night of invitationals involving area teams.
Findlay’s boys team will compete against 12 other schools in the Toledo St. Francis Knight Relays. Action gets underway with the field events at 4:30 p.m. with the running events slated to start at 5 p.m.
The girls team will be across town competing at Toledo Whitmer’s Nancy Erme Relays.
The Trojans will compete in the Gold Division with Bedford, Mich.; Toledo Central Catholic; Perrysburg; Sylvania Southview; Springfield; and Whitmer.
Field events start at 4 p.m. with running events set for 4:30 p.m.
There is one local invitational set for Friday as Hopewell-Loudon will host the Dick Schultz Invitational at Fostoria’s Memorial Stadium.
Area teams Fostoria St. Wendelin, North Baltimore and New Riegel will be competing along with Buckeye Central, Delta, Gibsonburg, Lakota and Tiffin Calvert.
Field events and running preliminaries are scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
Several other schools will also be in action Friday night.
Bluffton will compete in the Lima Shawnee Invitational, Continental heads to the Edgerton Invitational and Patrick Henry will take part in Archbold’s Walker-Dilbone Relays,
Mohawk and Upper Sandusky’s will run in the Bob Royer Relays at Colonel Crawford and Fostoria heads to Castalia for the Margaretta Invitational.
