Locally: ONU loses in OAC softball tourney final

ADA — Ohio Northern’s Adriana Sikora led off the game with a home run, but Muskingum rallied to beat the top-seeded Polar Bears 7-2 on Sunday in the championship game of the Ohio Athletic Conference women’s softball tournament.
The win earned Muskingum (26-16) the OAC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament. Ohio Northern ended its season at 23-19.
Sikora’s home run was her fifth in as many games and her OAC-leading 16th of the season. It also solidified a spot on the all-OAC first team for the junior right fielder, who batted .480, scored 51 runs and drove in 39.

Women’s tennis falls
MASON — The Ohio Northern University women’s tennis team saw its season come to a close with a 5-2 loss to Otterbein in the Ohio Athletic Conference tournament championship on Saturday at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason.
ONU, the second seed, ends its season at 17-5, while the top seeded Cardinals improved to 18-4.
