Prep baseball: Bryan’s big bats too much for Trojans

BRYAN — Jordan Bostater smacked two triples, two doubles and a single and drove in four runs on the day as Bryan’s baseball team combined for 25 hits and 27 runs in a doubleheader sweep of Findlay on Saturday.
The Golden Bears (14-5) scored four runs in each of the first two innings in the second game, added three in the fourth and six more in the fifth. Deylen Miley tripled and singled twice in the second game, and Nate Rau ripped five singles on the day.
Ryan Golden had a double, two singles and an RBI on the day to lead the Trojans (11-8), who had a seven-game winning streak snapped.
Nolan Rodman hit three singles and drove in three runs in the second game.

McCOMB — McComb freshman pitcher Malachi Abbott threw a no-hitter, struck out nine Hardin Northern batters and improved his record to 6-0 as the Panthers pounced on the Polar Bears 12-0 in five innings in a Blanchard Valley Conference baseball game on Saturday.
McComb (14-3, 6-1 BVC) struck for seven runs in the first and added four more in the second. Taylor Reardon ripped two doubles and had an RBI and Dakota LaRue doubled, singled and drove in two runs as the Panthers had 13 hits.
Jacob Gossard picked up the loss for Hardin Northern (0-13. 0-6 BVC).

OLD FORT — Old Fort won a pair of games in walk-off fashion as the Stockaders swept a nonconference baseball doubleheader from Vanlue on Saturday.
Brad Heilman singled home Noah Henry and Jordan Bryon with the winning runs in the bottom of the seventh in Old Fort’s 10-9 win in the opener.
Maison Steyer singled in Bryon in the seventh in a 3-2 Stockaders win in the nightcap.
Tyler Wingate doubled and singled and Jason Summers had a pair of singles in the first game for Vanlue. Nick Hagerty tripled and Sam Wagner added two singles in the second game.

SYCAMORE — Liberty-Benton scored three runs in the first and seventh innings and took advantage of six Mohawk errors to post a 7-3 win in nonleague baseball action on Saturday.
Jon Dager allowed two earned runs on three hits in seven innings pitched to earn the win. Jared Neiling singled twice and drove in two runs to lead the Eagles (18-1) at the plate.
Chris Creeger hit two singles and had an RBI for Mohawk (5-11).

Garret Sendelbach nearly hit for the cycle, ripping two singles, a double, a triple and driving in five runs for Hopewell-Loudon (11-8, 4-2 MAL), which had 16 hits. Tyler Imes added three singles and three RBIs and picked up his third win of the season on the mound.

NORTH BALTIMORE “” Sean Watson picked up the win on the mound in the opener as North Baltimore split a pair of slugfests as the Tigers hosted a nonconference doubleheader with Rossford.
Zach Stewart had a pair of hits and two RBIs as North Baltimore topped Rossford 11-8 in the opener.
The Bulldogs doubled up the Tigers 20-10 in the nightcap.
