Prep baseball: O-G’s Maas fires perfect game

GLANDORF — Ottawa-Glandorf junior Ryan Maas tossed a perfect game, striking out seven batters without allowing a run, hit or walk in five innings as the Titans blanked Continental 10-0 in a nonconference matchup Monday.

Chandler Kersh singled twice and drove in two runs, Tyler Zender added a pair of singles and Tanner Schimmoeller had a double for Ottawa-Glandorf (13-4).

Continental fell to 2-11.

LIBERTY CENTER — Josh Petersen allowed one earned run on three hits with eight strikeouts and two walks to pick up the win on the mound, and added a three-run home run at the plate to propel Patrick Henry past Liberty Center 11-1 in a five-inning Northwest Ohio Athletic League contest on Monday.

Joe Nickels singled three times, doubled and drove in two runs; Derek Hoops recorded a double, a pair of singles and an RBI; and Kollin Spence notched a double, a single and two RBIs for the Patriots (15-6, 7-1).

MILLER CITY — Hunter Berner had a single and two doubles Monday to lead Miller City to a 7-2 victory over Holgate in a nonconference baseball game.

Jacob Kuhlman pitched five innings of three-hit ball and allowed no earned runs for the Wildcats (11-4). Adam Drummelsmith had a pair of singles, and Ross Lehman a single and a double.

SPENCERVILLE — Ada scored five runs in the sixth inning and held off a late rally from Spencerville to post a 10-8 Northwest Conference victory on Monday.

Brayden Sautter had a triple, a double and two RBIs, Connor English doubled, singled and drove in a run and Seth Evans notched a pair of singles for Ada (3-12, 1-5 NWC).

James Schaad singled twice and recorded two RBIs for Spencerville (6-8, 2-4).
