Prep tennis: Trojans shut out Wapakoneta

Findlay High’s tennis team swept all five matches in straight sets on Monday and sent its upperclassmen out on a winning note with a 5-0 win over Wapakoneta on Senior Night at the FHS Courts.
Findlay, 12-3 on the season, won all three singles matches by almost identical scores.
Reid Teatsorth (No. 1) defeated Wapakoneta’s Drew Wayman 6-1, 6-1, Max MacDonald blanked Jordan Dodds 6-0, 6-0 and Jake Elbin beat Joe Pitts 6-0, 6-1.
In doubles, Tanner Graves and David Hoban (No. 1) defeated Alex Stinebaugh and Andrew Gibson 6-0, 6-2, and Steve Bowlin and Matt Atkins topped Bryce Schlenker and Seth Bowers 6-4, 6-3.
Findlay is on the road the rest of the week, taking on regular-season Western Buckeye League champion Celina today and traveling to Sylvania Southview on Friday for a second-round match in the Ohio High School Tennis Coaches Association team tournament.
