Prep Tennis: O-G’s Schroeder falls at districts

BOWLING GREEN — Ottawa-Glandorf’s Alex Schroeder won his first match of the day Wednesday before falling in the Divison II district quarterfinals at Bowling Green State University.
Schroeder opened with a 7-5, 6-0 victory over Huron’s Jake Guerrero. He then was beaten by Lexington’s Mason Dragos 6-1, 6-1.
The tournament will continue with semifinal singles and doubles matches at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The semifinalists have qualified for the state tournament May 30-31 at Ohio State University.
The Division I district tournament, which features three Findlay singles players and a pair of doubles teams gets underway today at 10 a.m. at BGSU.
