SIDNEY — Findlay High product Chandler Stillings stymied Sidney Post 217 on a four-hitter and Post 3 scored four runs in the fifth inning in a 6-2 win Tuesday at Custenborder Field in Buckeye American Legion League baseball.
Stillings (1-0), who will be a junior in the fall, pitched eight shutout innings, allowing a pair of walks and striking out six. North Baltimore’s Sean Watson pitched the ninth inning, allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits for Post 3 (3-0), which plays at 7 p.m. today at Toledo.
Isaiah Counts (1-1) took the loss for Sidney (1-5).
Garret Sendelbach of Hopewell-Loudon had three singles, Findlay’s Nolan Rodman added two and fellow Trojan Nick Bowden had a double and a single for Post 3. Jared Neiling of Liberty-Benton had a pair of RBIs for Post 3.
Dalton Bollinger and Dakota Bollinger of DeGraff Riverside had two hits each for Post 217.
